Schalke 04 failed to secure Younes Ebnoutalib loan

A potential loan move for striker Younes Ebnoutalib from Eintracht Frankfurt to Schalke 04 failed to materialize on transfer deadline day.

Reports indicate that Eintracht Frankfurt was open to loaning the 23-year-old, but only on the condition that Arnaud Kalimuendo returned to Frankfurt from Nottingham Forest. Because Nottingham Forest did not agree to the transfer of Kalimuendo, the deal for Ebnoutalib collapsed.

Since remaining with Frankfurt, Ebnoutalib has experienced a successful season under coach Adi Hütter, recording seven goal involvements in his first six matches and earning a debut for the German national team.
