Schalke 04’s busy week: public trainings, member assembly and Gosens transfer update

FC Schalke 04 has a packed schedule ahead of its summer training camp. Four public training sessions are planned – Tuesday (10:45 & 14:30), Wednesday (10:45) and Friday (10:45) – allowing fans to watch the first‑team, while the U23 face HB Amsterdam on Tuesday afternoon. On Saturday, 18 July, the club holds its member assembly in the Veltins‑Arena, where two supervisory‑board seats will be filled and a proposed amendment to the club statute will be debated. The week ends with a test match against Erzgebirge Aue on Sunday, 19 July, at 14:00 in the Erzgebirgsstadion, after which the squad departs for a training camp in Neustift, Stubaital, Austria, with further friendlies scheduled against FC Metalist Kharkiv (22 July) and Fagiano Okayama (25 July).

In transfer news, AC Florenz has omitted former German international Robin Gosens from its preseason squad, a clear signal that the 32‑year‑old left‑back is available. Schalke, seeking a new left‑back, have listed Gosens as a target, but a move remains complicated by his contract until 2028, a required transfer fee and potential salary reductions. The club continues negotiations while also pursuing other signings such as Moussa Ndiaye.
