Schalke 04 beats Erzgebirge Aue 4-2 in pre‑season test

FC Schalke 04 travelled to the Erzgebirgsstadion in Aue on 19 July for a pre‑season test match against Regionalliga side Erzgebirge Aue. The newly promoted Bundesliga team secured a 4‑2 victory in front of roughly 14 000 spectators. Striker Moussa Sylla opened the scoring from an Adil Aouchiche corner in the 28th minute and added a second before halftime. Christian Gomis converted a penalty early in the second half, followed shortly by Bryan Lasme. Aue reduced the deficit late in the game, but Schalke held on for the win. New home kits were worn for the first time, while Robin Gosens remained unused. After the match, coach Miron Muslic’s squad departed for a week‑long training camp in Austria. The host club highlighted the shared mining heritage of both sides and invited Schalke fans to celebrate Aue’s 80th anniversary during the fixture.
