Schandmaul announces new album ‘Sternensegler’ with new lead vocalist

German folk-rock band Schandmaul has announced the release of their new album, ‘Sternensegler’, which marks a significant transition for the group. The album features Till Herence as the primary vocalist, taking over the role previously held by Thomas Lindner, who remains with the band as an instrumentalist.

To preview the album, the band released a new single and music video titled ‘Zwei Raben’. The track is an epic folk-rock ballad featuring a duet between Herence and guest vocalist Laura Fella from the band Faun. The song is a reimagining of a track originally released in 2011.

Critics note that the change in vocals provides a more powerful and modern energy to the band’s traditional melodic and narrative folk-rock sound, while maintaining their established musical identity.
