Schengen visa rejection rates for Turkish citizens revealed

Official data regarding Schengen visa applications from Turkey shows an average rejection rate of approximately 14% to 15% over recent periods. While Turkey ranks second globally in application volume after China, the likelihood of approval varies significantly depending on the destination country.

Romania, Spain, and Bulgaria demonstrate the highest approval rates, with rejection levels staying below 10%. Specifically, Romania recorded a rejection rate of only 3.19% across more than 87,000 applications.

Conversely, Germany and Denmark show much stricter policies. Germany, which receives a high volume of applications, reported a rejection rate of 21.1%. Other notable rejection rates include Denmark at 19.19% and Hungary at 18.14%.
