Schiaparelli Unveils Futuristic ‘Abyss’ Collection at Paris Haute Couture Week

Paris Haute Couture Week opened with the American designer Daniel Roseberry presenting Schiaparelli’s Autumn‑Winter 2026‑27 collection, titled “The Abyss” (also described as “the call of the void”). The show featured marine‑inspired silhouettes, silicone, latex and sculptural tentacles that blur the line between garment and sculpture.

High‑profile guests included the Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny and his brother Bernie Martínez, actress Emma Corrin, Michelle Yeoh and other celebrities. Bad Bunny attracted attention in a yellow‑butter costume with a braided blonde‑hair tie. Law Roach later took a runway dress from the show and flew it to London for Zendaya, who wore it to the premiere of “The Odyssey”.

The collection was praised for its experimental materials and surreal aesthetic, reaffirming Schiaparelli’s reputation for pushing couture boundaries.
