Schipholweg in Haarlem to close for four days
The Schipholweg near the Buitenrustbruggen in Haarlem will be closed to car traffic for four days, starting Thursday evening, October 8, at 20:00, until Monday morning, October 12, at 05:00.
The closure is necessary for construction work on the bicycle cellar of the future Haarlem Spaarnepoort bus station. A temporary road is being constructed at the site to improve traffic flow around the new public transport hub.
While cyclists and pedestrians can largely continue to use the route via existing detours, motorists must follow various diversions. Traffic heading toward Heemstede and Zandvoort will be rerouted via Amerikaweg, Aziëweg, Europaweg, and Schouwbroekerbrug. Drivers heading toward Amsterdam, Alkmaar, Utrecht, Den Haag, and the A9 will also face detours through Heemstede and Schalkwijk.
