Schlüchtern police exhibition attracts 10,000 visitors

Up to 10,000 visitors attended the police exhibition organized by the Southeast Hesse Police Headquarters in the air resort of Schlüchtern. Held under the motto ‘Show respect – experience respect. Encounters with the blue-light family’, the event featured demonstrations and interactive offers from various emergency services, including the police, fire department, rescue services, and the Technical Relief Agency (THW).

The exhibition was opened by Hesse Interior Minister Roman Poseck, alongside Schlüchtern Mayor Matthias Möller, Carina Lerch from the Southeast Hesse Police Headquarters, and District Administrator Thorsten Stolz. Officials emphasized that such events are vital for strengthening the connection between security authorities and the public, fostering trust and mutual respect.

Highlights for attendees included police helicopter landings, police horses, service dogs, and a motorcycle squad. Children were also able to participate in activities such as examining a simulated crime scene with criminal technicians.
