Schleich appoints David Albert as CEO

Schleich has announced that David Albert will become the company’s Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2027. Albert, a long-time manager within the toy company, will succeed Dr. Manfred Ziegler following a transition period.

Albert has been with Schleich for 12 years, holding various leadership roles in product management, strategic business development, global analytics, and e-commerce. He currently serves as the President of North America, which is Schleich’s second-largest market. In his new role, he is expected to focus on the brand’s global growth strategy and internationalization.

Annie-Laurie Zomermaand, the current Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director for North America, will succeed Albert as the President of Schleich North America.
