Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival reports 188,000 visitors

The 41st Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival (SHMF) has concluded with strong attendance figures, drawing approximately 188,000 visitors. Organizers reported a 93 percent occupancy rate across 205 concerts held at 120 venues throughout Schleswig-Holstein, Denmark, Hamburg, and northern Lower Saxony.

Of the total performances, 149 were sold out. The festival's diverse programming spanned classical, jazz, soul, techno, and world music, featuring performers such as Yo-Yo Ma, Hilary Hahn, and Daniil Trifonov.

The festival concludes with sold-out performances by the NDR Radiophilharmonie, conducted by Stanislav Kochanovsky, featuring Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki. The 2027 festival is scheduled to run from July 3 to August 29, with the program expected to be released on February 25, 2027.
