Schleswig-Holstein road crashes leave two injured and one critically hurt
Two serious traffic accidents occurred on state roads in Schleswig-Holstein. On the L224 near Siek, a 57‑year‑old driver attempted a left turn and collided with a 78‑year‑old motorcyclist, who was thrown from his bike and suffered life‑threatening injuries; the driver sustained minor injuries. Both vehicles were a total loss and the road was closed for rescue and investigation by DEKRA under the direction of the Staatsanwaltschaft Lübeck and Polizeidirektion Ratzeburg.
Later, on the L90 near Lasbek, a 34‑year‑old driver turning left collided with a 52‑year‑old motorcyclist, who was critically injured. Two children riding with the driver escaped with only light injuries. The accident also prompted a DEKRA expert assessment, a road closure until the evening, and ongoing police investigations.
