Schmelz search operation for missing jogger

Emergency services have launched a large-scale operation in Schmelz to locate a missing 55-year-old man. The individual, described as approximately 1.90 meters tall and weighing around 90 kilograms, was last seen jogging on Sunday morning.

According to reports, the man intended to go for a short run and return by 1:00 PM, but his whereabouts became unknown after he was spotted near the Heidebad area around 11:15 AM. He was reportedly wearing a blue jacket and shorts. Authorities and search efforts are focusing on the surrounding forest and directions toward Hüttersdorf and Schmelz. Police are requesting that anyone with information regarding his location or route contact them immediately.
