Schneider Electric and Kraken partner on electricity demand flexibility

Schneider Electric and Kraken have entered a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the global adoption of electricity demand flexibility. The collaboration focuses on delivering new solutions for utilities and Distribution System Operators (DSOs) to monitor grids, forecast congestion, and shift demand in real time.

By improving the use of existing network capacity, the partnership seeks to provide faster connections for large industrial loads and data centers. This approach aims to delay the need for expensive infrastructure upgrades, potentially lowering system costs and consumer bills while supporting the energy transition. The initiative intends to optimize demand across various resources, including electric vehicles, home batteries, solar PV, and industrial loads, to balance the grid and reduce congestion.
