Schneider Electric completes industrial transformation of Puente la Reina plant

Schneider Electric has completed the industrial transformation of its manufacturing plant in Puente la Reina, Spain. The facility, which employs 350 people, specializes in electrical mechanisms such as sockets, switches, and pushbuttons for homes and offices.

The transformation focused on increasing automation, digitalization, and energy efficiency. For the past three years, the site has been recognized as an ‘Advanced Smart Factory’ due to its digital model and highly automated processes. The plant also hosts a European R&D center where 60 to 70 employees work on technological innovation.

A key outcome of this evolution is the development and industrialization of the new Odace generation of electrical mechanisms, a product range recently launched in the French market. The completion of this project strengthens the plant's role within the company's European production network.
