Schneider Electric hosts Innovation Day in Sydney, pushes AI‑ready infrastructure amid Australian climate reporting push

Schneider Electric announced that its Innovation Day 2026 will take place on 18 August at the Sofitel Wentworth in Sydney. The event, titled “Building Smarter Tech Ecosystems”, will bring together technology partners, customers and industry leaders to discuss AI‑ready infrastructure, digital transformation, and the role of connected, sustainable digital systems in enhancing business agility and profitability. Farokh Ghadially, Schneider Electric’s vice‑president of IT and Data Centres, said the convergence of AI, digitisation, electrification and sustainability is reshaping how organisations design and manage technology infrastructure.

In parallel, Schneider Electric highlighted the challenges Australian companies face with the new mandatory Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS). A recent Energy Tech Pulse survey found that while half of business leaders support the mandatory climate disclosures, only one in eight feel fully prepared, with many still relying on spreadsheets and fragmented systems. The company argues that accurate data and integrated systems are essential for both compliance and identifying efficiency opportunities that can lower emissions and costs.
