Schneider Electric launches AI-ready prefabricated power modules

Schneider Electric has expanded its data center infrastructure portfolio with a new series of standardized, prefabricated power modules and power skids. These scalable solutions, available in configurations of 2 MW, 2.25 MW, and 2.5 MW, are designed to meet the growing demand for AI-ready infrastructure.

The largest 2.5 MW module is the company’s most powerful prefabricated power solution to date. Utilizing Galaxy VXL uninterruptible power supply (UPS) technology, the systems are built based on reference designs developed in collaboration with NVIDIA. These designs include integrated power management and liquid cooling controls specifically for the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 platform, which is intended for high-density AI computing workloads.

By moving assembly to a factory setting, Schneider Electric aims to significantly reduce the time required for design, installation, and testing. While traditional custom power solutions can take 12 to 14 months to deploy, these prefabricated modules can be manufactured in as little as six months, providing faster scalability for hyperscale, neocloud, and colocation data center operators.
