Scholarship programs announced for students in Pakistan and the UK

New scholarship opportunities have been announced for students seeking higher education funding.

The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls 2026 provides fully funded bachelor’s and master’s degrees at HEC-recognised universities in Pakistan. Funded by the Scottish Government and administered by the British Council, the program targets women facing financial, social, or geographical barriers, including those from rural areas, minority groups, and women with disabilities. The application deadline has been extended to 15 September 2026.

Additionally, the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program 2027 at the University of Edinburgh is accepting applications for postgraduate studies in the UK. This fully funded program is designed for young leaders from African countries who have overcome significant educational barriers. Applicants must be 35 or younger, demonstrate leadership, and show an ambition to address the climate crisis.
