School canteen services launch in Sulmona and Castellammare del Golfo

School canteen services for the 2026-2027 academic year have commenced in several Italian municipalities.

In Sulmona, the service begins at the Istituto Comprensivo ‘Mazzini-Capograssi’. The rollout includes specific schedules for various school levels, including kindergarten and primary schools. For instance, the ‘Collodi’ kindergarten operates from 8:30 to 16:30 with lunch between 13:00 and 14:00, while other complexes like ‘Angeloni’ and ‘Crispi’ have lunch breaks scheduled between 12:00 and 13:00.

In Castellammare del Golfo, the service has launched for 275 students across the ‘Don Bosco’, ‘Falcone-Borsellino’, and ‘Francesco Crispi’ complexes. This represents a 10 percent increase in participation compared to the previous year. Meals are provided through a mix of in-house preparation and external catering. Costs for families are determined by ISEE levels, with individual meals ranging from 2.50 to 4 euros.
