Notable performances included Nancy, who placed 23rd in the Year 7 competition, and Lauren Devine, who finished 13th overall in the Year 10 category. Other participants included Jennifer, Leah, Mia, Amelia, Abigail, Lola, Jasmine, Megan, Aijana, Amariah, Adelina, Charlotte, Nickoya, and Eden, who placed 29th in the Year 8 race.
In East Cornwall, the East Cornwall Harriers Primary School Cross-Country League returned with an opening race at Blackadon Farm in Great Trethew. The series, which was recently saved by volunteers following the retirement of long-standing organiser Revis Crowle, featured hundreds of young runners. Athletes competed in four categories for Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 boys and girls, with each race covering approximately 1.1 miles.
