School infrastructure projects face delays in Venezuela and progress in Argentina
In Venezuela, parents and representatives of the Luisa Ramona López Ruiz School in Prados del Sur have protested against the unfinished rehabilitation of the institution. Nearly six months after work began, the project led by the Fundación de Edificaciones y Dotaciones Educativas (FEDE) remains incomplete, leaving the kitchen, bathrooms, and sewage systems non-functional. Community members report that construction materials remain on-site, creating safety concerns and preventing students from returning to in-person classes.
In Argentina, construction is progressing on a new technical secondary school building in Camet Norte, Mar Chiquita. The project, which includes six classrooms, workshops, and a library, is being funded through a joint agreement between the Buenos Aires provincial administration and the Mar Chiquita municipality. This initiative follows a period where the national government under Javier Milei had paralyzed various public infrastructure projects in the district.
