School infrastructure updates reported in Argentina and Mexico

In Río Gallegos, Argentina, the Provincial Council of Education has completed the delivery of new heating equipment for the Centro Polivalente de Arte N°1. This follows the previous delivery of two boilers and 17 radiators. The new equipment is intended to supply the multipurpose hall (SUM) and hallways, areas that had been partially unusable due to a deteriorating system. The project involves transitioning to a closed-circuit system using distilled water to improve thermal performance and equipment longevity.

In Ciudad Victoria, Mexico, educational authorities have issued a directive requiring schools to consult with the Regional Center for Educational Development (Crede) before installing new air conditioning units. This measure aims to prevent electrical overloads in older buildings where infrastructure, such as transformers and wiring, may be decades old. Officials noted that unauthorized installations have previously led to electrical failures, such as a recent incident at a kindergarten where a burnt electrical box was linked to 40-year-old wiring.
