School of Applied Arts in Ústí nad Orlicí opens new 216M CZK studios

The School of Applied Arts in Ústí nad Orlicí has officially opened new specialized facilities located in the former Perla textile factory brownfield. The project, costing nearly 216 million CZK, provides modern studios, technical classrooms, and workshops for various artistic disciplines, including graphic, industrial, and interior design, as well as textile creation and animation.

Previously, the school's teaching spaces were scattered across different locations, including an unsuitable former dormitory. The new low-energy building centralizes specialized instruction, offering dedicated rooms for stop-motion animation and video. While students noted the transition from the previous “punk” atmosphere to the new, sterile environment, the facilities provide significantly more space and advanced technological capabilities for their studies.
