School preparations focus on supply costs and student health

As the new school year approaches, parents are managing both the financial costs of supplies and the physical health of their children. Shopping for school essentials like notebooks, backpacks, and stationery remains a significant expense for families.

Health experts advise parents to monitor the weight of students' backpacks to prevent back, shoulder, and neck pain. A key recommendation is that a backpack should not exceed 10% of a child's body weight. For example, a child weighing 30 kilograms should carry a bag no heavier than 3 kilograms.
