School rehabilitation projects completed in Camacha and Navegantes

In Camacha, Portugal, the rehabilitation and energy efficiency upgrades at the Dr. Alfredo Nóbrega Júnior Basic School, Pre-School, and Nursery are complete. Funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), the project cost over 2 million euros including VAT. The intervention included replacing window frames, installing photovoltaic systems for self-consumption, improving roof thermal insulation, and renewing lighting, water, sewage, electricity, telecommunications, and fire safety systems. The new LED lighting and solar energy system are expected to reduce energy costs by approximately 50%.

In Navegantes, Angola, the rehabilitation of ten annex classrooms at the Complexo Escolar n.º 1382 BLA has surpassed 80% physical execution. The project aims to improve learning conditions for more than 1,010 children by recovering classrooms, improving leisure spaces, and rehabilitating bathrooms. While works are underway, teaching continues in temporary spaces to ensure student safety and allow for construction.
