Spanish regions allocate over €124 million to upgrade school infrastructure

The People's Party of Castellón (PPCS) announced a €121.6 million investment to build new schools and carry out comprehensive reforms in 18 educational centres across the province. The regional government also earmarked €580,500 from the EduClima programme to improve thermal comfort in 57 public schools, installing climate‑control systems and other measures to counter heat waves.

In Castilla y León, the Junta de Castilla y León disclosed a €3.214 million plan for the province of Palencia. The funding will be used this summer for roof replacements, façade repairs, electrical upgrades and other structural works in dozens of primary and secondary schools, including the CEIP Nuestra Señora de Ronte and IES Jorge Manrique.

Together, these allocations reflect a broader effort by Spanish regional authorities to modernise school facilities, enhance safety and adapt to climate‑related challenges.
