School Uniform Swap Initiatives Launch in Jersey and Ryde

In Jersey, the charity Autism Jersey has partnered with Marks & Spencer to run a scheme that lets families purchase good‑quality pre‑owned school uniforms at reduced prices. Donors can drop off clean uniforms at the Autism Jersey boutique by 14 August and receive a 10 % voucher for use at the M&S King Street store before 26 September.

In Ryde on the Isle of Wight, Ryde Town Council is reviving its popular School Uniform Swap Shop at Network Ryde. The free‑of‑charge event, supported by Ryde Timebank volunteers, runs on several dates in August and accepts clean, good‑condition uniforms and soft toys for a local charity fundraiser. Both initiatives aim to ease back‑to‑school costs for families while promoting clothing reuse and waste reduction.
