Kanwar Yatra impacts school schedules in Delhi-NCR

The Kanwar Yatra pilgrimage is impacting school schedules and traffic management across parts of the Delhi-NCR region. In Uttar Pradesh, district administrations in Ghaziabad and Meerut have confirmed that educational institutions will remain closed through August 12 to accommodate the movement of pilgrims and associated administrative arrangements.

In Noida, authorities have implemented modified school timings rather than a blanket district-wide closure. Previously, schools in the area operated on a half-day schedule, dismissing students by 12:15 PM to manage traffic and ensure safety. While Ghaziabad and Meerut have confirmed closures, no corresponding district-wide school holidays have been issued for Delhi or Noida.
