Schwalbe to launch new 32-inch gravel tires in 2027

German tire manufacturer Schwalbe has announced the launch of new 32-inch gravel tires, specifically the G-ONE RS PRO and G-ONE RX PRO models. Available in widths of 50 mm and 55 mm, these tires are scheduled for release in April 2027, alongside dedicated inner tubes.

The move responds to an emerging trend in the cycling industry toward larger wheel diameters for gravel bikes, which are expected to begin appearing on the market in autumn 2026. Schwalbe noted that while they were initially skeptical of the 32-inch format, testing—including the use of prototypes by Robin Gemperle during his Unbound XL victory—demonstrated that larger wheels offer improved stability, traction, and comfort.

Beyond gravel cycling, Schwalbe intends to expand this 32-inch offering to include various mountain bike tires in the future.
