Schwarz Digits and SAP launch sovereign cloud offering

Schwarz Digits and SAP have launched ‘RISE with SAP on Stackit’, a new cloud solution designed to allow companies to migrate their ERP applications to a sovereign European cloud infrastructure. The offering aims to address data protection and governance concerns for businesses hesitant to use US-dominated infrastructure.

Under this model, SAP remains the central contractual partner for software operations and support, while Stackit provides the underlying infrastructure in Germany or Austria. Schwarz Digits identifies Stackit as the only European hyperscaler currently providing RISE with SAP services. Technical deployment for new systems is scheduled to begin in November 2026.
