Schwerte animal shelter concludes name search for 19 kittens

The search for names for 19 kittens at the Schwerte animal shelter has concluded following a high volume of community submissions. A joint initiative between the Ruhr Nachrichten and the shelter prompted numerous readers to submit name suggestions via email.

The response was significant, with many participants providing entire lists of names or sharing personal stories and memories related to their own pets. The shelter staff expressed gratitude for the creative ideas and the well-wishes sent to the employees and the animals.

The selection process is now underway, with the shelter choosing one suitable name for each of the 19 kittens. The final names will be announced in upcoming publications alongside individual introductions of the cats.
