Sciacca: Man faces trial for series of local thefts

A local man, 28-year-old Marco Catanzaro, is facing immediate trial in Sciacca following a series of thefts targeting bars, restaurants, and shops during May and June 2026. Catanzaro has confessed to several thefts, including the theft of electronics and cash from various local businesses and apartments.

Catanzaro is also facing charges for a theft at an agricultural company involving power tools, committed in conjunction with Makrem Hamrouni. Both individuals are currently under house arrest. The first hearing for the case is scheduled for November 10, 2026, before the Sciacca Court.
