SCIC to auction 63% stake in Seaprodex with prime Ho Chi Minh City land
The State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) has announced plans to auction a 63.38% stake in the Vietnam National Seaproducts Corporation (Seaprodex). The auction, involving 79.228 million shares, is scheduled to take place at the Hanoi Stock Exchange on September 29, 2026, with registration and deposits due by September 22, 2026.
The starting price for the auction is set at 8,509 billion VND, which equates to approximately 107,400 VND per share. Based on this unit price, the implied total valuation of Seaprodex would be roughly 13.425 trillion VND ($517.6 million).
Seaprodex holds a significant portfolio of prime real estate in central Ho Chi Minh City. A key asset is the land plot at 2-4-6 Dong Khoi Street, which serves as the company’s headquarters and is bordered by Ton Duc Thang, Dong Khoi, and Ngo Duc Ke Streets. As of June 30, 2026, construction-in-progress costs at this site accounted for over 692 billion VND of the company’s total balance. Other properties managed by the corporation include office buildings and facilities located on Mac Thi Buoi Street, Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Kinh Duong Vuong Street, and No Trang Long Street.
