Science communicator Jhoan M. López to lead AI workshop in Extremadura

Jhoan M. López, creator of the YouTube channel ‘Los Profes de Ciencias’, will lead a practical workshop in Badajoz, Extremadura, on September 29 and 30. Organized by FUNDECYT-PCTEX, the free event is designed to teach researchers and innovation professionals how to better communicate their projects.

The workshop will focus on using artificial intelligence tools for scientific communication, creating audiovisual content, and developing effective social media strategies. Participants will learn to identify target audiences, write scripts, and adapt complex scientific messages for different groups, particularly younger audiences.

A key component of the training involves combating scientific misinformation. Attendees will receive guidance on how to detect hoaxes, respond to false content, and improve how scientific conclusions are conveyed to the public and the media.
