Science communicators to host public lectures in Italy

Scientific communicators are scheduled to hold public events in Italy to discuss physics and astronomy.

On October 3, science communicator Adrian Fartade will present ‘Science and Rebellion – Stories of minds that dared to go beyond’ at the Gardaforum in Montichiari. The event is part of the ‘La signola delle stelle’ series dedicated to astrophysicist Laura Pasinetti. Fartade, a popular science YouTuber and author, focuses on astronomy and themes of inclusion.

On September 29, physicist and writer Gabriella Greison will speak at the Teatro Condominio Vittorio Gassman in Gallarate. Organized by the Confapi Women's Group and Young Entrepreneurs Group, the talk will explore quantum physics as a lens for reflecting on uncertainty, identity, and change. Greison will discuss her work on Louis de Broglie and address the distinction between genuine science and the misuse of the term ‘quantum’ in motivational or pseudoscientific contexts.
