Science Night rebrands for upcoming Czech nationwide event
The nationwide science popularization event formerly known as ‘Noc vědců’ (Scientists’ Night) is rebranding to ‘Noc vědy’ (Science Night). The name change follows a vote by organizers and participants to adopt a gender-neutral term.
Scheduled for Friday, September 25, the event will focus on the theme of communication. More than 120 institutions across the Czech Republic, including universities, schools, science centers, museums, and the Czech Academy of Sciences, will participate.
In the Olomouc region, Palacký University will host an extensive program featuring workshops, quizzes, and excursions. The event aims to foster open dialogue between scientists and the public, strengthening trust in scientific knowledge through direct interaction.
