Scientific and environmental organizations announce upcoming research programs
Various scientific and environmental organizations have announced upcoming educational programs and research presentations.
In the San Francisco Bay Area, the Bay Area Science Center is hosting events including a Junior Rangers program at the Don Edwards SF Bay National Wildlife Refuge and an after-hours tour of the Lick Observatory. Additionally, Gladstone Institutes will present on how AI-powered microscopes are being used to accelerate medical research for neurodegenerative diseases.
The National Audubon Society is also hosting a series of webinars in September 2026 featuring Appleton-Whittell Research Fellows. These presentations will cover diverse ecological topics, such as the impact of fire and fungal pathogens on Emory oak dynamics in the Madrean oak woodlands of the southwestern United States and Mexico.
