Scientific dissemination events held in Vinaròs and Figueres

Various scientific dissemination events have taken place in Catalonia, focusing on architecture, ecology, and climate change.

In Vinaròs, the Fundació Caixa Vinaròs hosted a lecture by Dr. Ricardo Devesa titled “Domesticitat a la intempèrie: relacions entre arquitectura, arbres i habitants.” Devesa explored the relationship between 20th and 21st-century architecture and the natural environment, specifically how trees can be integrated into architectural projects to enhance space and connect inhabitants with seasonal changes.

In Figueres, the 11th edition of the “Science Needs You!” festival addressed the social and scientific challenges of climate change. Experts Josep Peñuelas, María del Carmen Llasat, and Esteve Corbera discussed global planetary changes, biodiversity loss, extreme meteorological phenomena in the Mediterranean, and the social dimensions of energy consumption and the ecological transition.
