Scientific research fellowships and roles announced in India

Several Indian scientific organizations have announced recruitment opportunities for research positions.

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is inviting applications for Senior Research Fellowships (SRFs) in New Delhi. These fellowships are intended for individuals holding an M.Sc. or equivalent degree to undergo training in research methodologies under the guidance of experienced scientists. The application period for these positions runs from 18 August 2026 to 17 September 2026.

Additionally, the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) has opened applications for Research Associate I and Field Assistant roles. The Research Associate I position requires a PhD in fields such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Microbiology, while the Field Assistant role is open to candidates with a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Life Sciences, or Environmental Science. The deadline for RCB applications is 27 August 2026.
