Scientific studies and UAP reports address lack of extraterrestrial contact

A recent scientific study addresses the Fermi Paradox, proposing that the lack of contact with extraterrestrial civilizations may be due to the limited reach of human technological signals. Research by astrophysicist Amri Wandel from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem suggests that while advanced civilizations likely search for technological signatures rather than biological life, human radio emissions have only traveled a radius covering approximately 15,000 star systems. This represents a tiny fraction of the Milky Way, which contains roughly 400 billion stars.

Separately, discussions regarding the potential announcement of intelligent alien life have circulated online, though no official confirmation exists. In the United States, the government has focused on releasing files related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs). The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) stated that the Department of Defense has found no evidence of extraterrestrial technology, often attributing sightings to drones, balloons, or atmospheric phenomena.

While NASA continues to prioritize the search for life on Mars and icy moons like Europa, no extraterrestrial life has been discovered to date. However, the Perseverance rover has identified potential biosignatures in Martian rock samples.
