Scimplify raises $25M to expand AI-driven materials production

Bengaluru-based startup Scimplify has raised $25 million in an all-equity strategic funding round to expand its AI-powered manufacturing platform for specialty chemicals and advanced materials. The round was led by Hitachi Ventures, with new investors Henkel and Teknor Apex joining existing backers including Accel India, Bertelsmann India Investments, Omnivore, and 3one4 Capital.

Scimplify utilizes its proprietary AI platform to accelerate chemical synthesis, optimize manufacturing processes, and coordinate production across a network of 200 to 550 partner facilities, primarily in India. The company aims to shorten the timeline for delivering finished materials from the industry standard of 12 to 18 months to as little as two months.

The startup’s annualized revenue run rate has reportedly tripled to $200 million, with approximately 40% of revenue derived from high-value sectors such as semiconductors, defense, and AI infrastructure. Following this investment, the company’s valuation is estimated at $250 million, up from $150 million in March 2025. Scimplify plans to use the capital to scale its operations and increase its presence in the United States.
