Scioto County authorities execute arrests for violent crime and drug trafficking

Law enforcement agencies in Scioto County, Ohio, have conducted several significant operations involving violent crime and narcotics trafficking.

Authorities have issued arrest warrants for Rodney White Jr., 22, of Spring Hill, Tennessee, on charges of attempted murder and felonious assault. The warrants follow an August 8 incident where a victim sustained critical neck wounds during an altercation and required medical helicopter transport. White is described as an African American male, approximately 6 feet tall, with long hair and glasses, and is considered armed and dangerous.

In separate drug enforcement actions, the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force and Ohio State Highway Patrol seized nearly $46,000 worth of suspected narcotics during two traffic stops in Lucasville. The seizures included approximately 200 grams of suspected fentanyl and 180 grams of suspected crack cocaine. Two Dayton men, Dorian Lee Dorsey and Shannon Smyth, were arrested and charged with drug trafficking and possession.

Additionally, Scioto County deputies arrested John Holbrook in Porter Township following reports of a domestic dispute involving alleged drug use and threats. Holbrook faces charges of domestic violence and aggravated menacing.
