SCOP completes new workshop unit at Instituto Tecnológico de La Piedad

The Michoacán Secretariat of Communications and Public Works (SCOP) has completed the construction of a new heavy-duty workshop unit at the Instituto Tecnológico de La Piedad. The facility measures 12 by 24 meters and is designed to enhance the technical and professional training of 1,280 higher education students in the Bajío Region.

According to SCOP head Rogelio Zarazúa Sánchez, the project was funded through the Multiple Contributions Fund (FAM) as part of Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla’s administration to provide adequate facilities for workforce preparation. The construction process involved excavation, ground stabilization, foundation work, wall construction, and the installation of a metal structure with a multipanel roof, along with electrical, hydraulic, and sanitary systems.
