Scordia-Militello hill climb returns with 100 participants

The Scordia-Militello hill climb race is returning to the Sicilian motorsport calendar with 100 registered participants. The competition, organized by Sicilia Promo Sport with support from the local administrations of Scordia and Militello in Val di Catania, features 63 modern vehicles and 37 historic and classic cars.

The event will take place from October 2 to 4 along a 6.2-kilometer stretch of the SP 28. This edition marks a significant relaunch for the competition, which has been absent from the racing scene for a long period. Organizers aim to consolidate the event and increase its prestige in future seasons.

A special 1st Memorial Pippo Baudo has been established to honor the late Italian television icon, who was a native of Militello in Val di Catania. The race presentation was held via a web conference involving local administration representatives, race directors, and organizers.
