Scotland heatwave pushes Glasgow to 29°C amid record June forecasts

The Met Office warned that a heatwave will bring temperatures of up to 29 °C to Glasgow, making the city hotter than Ibiza on June 24. The UK Health Security Agency cautioned that the extreme heat could strain health and social‑care services, with older adults and those with pre‑existing conditions at greatest risk.

In the same spell of warm weather, the village of Luss on the western shore of Loch Lomond is promoting summer attractions, including the Hot Tottie outdoor sauna, boat cruises, whisky and gin tastings at the new Luss Distillery, and the annual Luss Highland Games scheduled for 4 July.
