Scotland's food and drink festivals announce summer events
The Edinburgh Food & Drink Academy has relaunched with a summer programme that includes hands‑on cookery courses, children’s workshops, comedy cook‑offs and traditional Scottish shortbread sessions. The offering targets beginners to aspiring chefs and also provides a five‑day Seasonal Chef Host Course aimed at hospitality careers.
Glasgow's Real Ale Festival will run from 6 to 8 August at the Briggait, featuring a wide range of real ales, ciders, gluten‑free and vegan‑friendly beers, plus a gin and wine bar. The event supports the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice and will include local food vendors.
Both events aim to attract locals and tourists, highlighting Scotland's vibrant culinary scene this summer.
