Sydney private school students charged in alleged teenage rape

Three 17-year-old boys have been charged following the alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in the Macarthur region of Sydney. The incident reportedly occurred at a home on a Saturday.

Two of the teenagers are students at St Gregory’s College, a private school in Campbelltown. The school’s principal, Matthew Brennan, expressed “deep concern” for the victim and her family, describing the allegations as “abhorrent” and the antithesis of the school’s values. The college stated it is cooperating fully with police investigations.

One of the boys faces 11 charges, including six counts of aggravated sexual assault in company and three counts of rape. Another faces six counts of sexual assault in company, rape, and common assault, while the third is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault in company. All three suspects were refused bail and are scheduled to appear in children’s court.
