Scott Eastwood Details Fury Set Fight with Shia LaBeouf, Brad Pitt Intervenes

During a recent appearance on the "Armchair Expert" podcast, actor Scott Eastwood recounted a tense on‑set confrontation with co‑star Shia LaBeouf while filming the 2014 World War II film *Fury*. LaBeouf, described by Eastwood as a “very method” actor, allegedly pulled out one of his own teeth and cut himself during production. The dispute arose when LaBeouf objected to Eastwood spitting tobacco on a tank—a scripted action—prompting Eastwood to threaten, “I’m going to whoop your ass.” The altercation was broken up by fellow cast member Brad Pitt, who stepped in to defuse the situation.

Eastwood also spoke about the 2014 death of his former girlfriend, model Jewel Brangman, who was killed when a defective airbag deployed in a car crash, describing the incident as “one of the craziest ways” he had heard of someone dying. He noted that he was unable to grieve at the time because he was on a film set and had to keep working.

In a separate anecdote, Eastwood recalled how his father, director Clint Eastwood, handled Kevin Costner’s “big ego” on the set of the 1993 film *A Perfect World*, sending Costner home for a day to keep production on track.
