Scott Hanson announces fewer ads for NFL RedZone in 2026

NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson has announced that viewers can expect a reduction in standalone commercials at the start of the 2026 NFL season. This follows a period of increasing advertisement frequency, which saw commercial counts rise significantly during the previous season.

Hanson clarified that while segment sponsorships, such as the ‘Mercedes-Benz Drive of the Day’, will continue, the number of 15-second standalone commercials will be lower than the levels seen at the end of last year. He emphasized that the network’s core promise to ‘never miss a touchdown’ remains intact, with advertisements intended to occur only during brief periods of inactivity, such as when players are walking back to the huddle.

Hanson noted that while he hosts the program, the specific advertising decisions are managed by the business side of the organization.
