Scott Mattingly promoted to Associate Head Coach at NDSU

North Dakota State University wrestling head coach Obenson Blanc has announced the promotion of Scott Mattingly to Associate Head Coach. Mattingly joined the Bison program in August 2023 and previously served as Head Assistant Coach starting in August 2024.

Mattingly brings 12 seasons of Division I coaching experience to the role, having coached 30 NCAA DI qualifiers throughout his career. During his first three seasons at NDSU, he contributed to the development of All-American Gavin Drexler and helped produce 10 national qualifiers for the Bison. His coaching background also includes stints at Gardner-Webb University and Eastern Michigan, and he has guided 16 Academic All-Americans.
