Napoli prepares for Frosinone clash amid injury concerns

Napoli prepares to face Frosinone in a Serie A match at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona following the international break. Napoli manager Massimiliano Allegri faces a significant injury crisis, with players like Vergara and Favasuli sidelined, though he expects Olivera to return soon. Defender Luca Marianucci has also been cleared to rejoin the group.

Midfielder Scott McTominay has received medical clearance following surgery to correct a benign cardiac arrhythmia. While he is expected to be included in the squad, Allegri noted that his involvement may be limited to 20-30 minutes as he regains match fitness. Allegri has emphasized the need for humility and responsibility, warning against complacency against a Frosinone side that has performed strongly in the early stages of the season.

Frosinone, led by Massimiliano Alvini, enters the match with momentum, currently sitting higher in the standings than Napoli. The match is viewed as a critical opportunity for Napoli to regain momentum in the league and prepare for upcoming Champions League fixtures.
